Dear Year 2025-26 competition team,
WELCOME as a registered team for the year 2025 - 26 edition of the Asian Regional

You are joining a 22-year tradition of Space Settlement Design Competitions, which
started at the American Center, New Delhi in December 2004.
OFFICE

It is essential that you follow the attached Proposal Submittal Instructions. If you are a
Industrial Area, New Delhi finalist team, the information you provide on the "Proposing Team Data" form will enable
110034 us to contact one of the adults who will travel with you to Asian Finals; we must be able
PHONE to contact this person either at school or at home (evenings, weekends, and after the

EMAIL
arssdc@atlantisresearch.in Your most important tool for success in this challenge is the Request for Proposal (RFP)
WEB which specifies what the customer wants to see in your design. Your task is to figure out
www.arssdc.org how to provide these features. In order to become a semifinalist Team, you must clearly
demonstrate in your proposal that YOU MEET ALL OF THE CUSTOMER'S
REQUIREMENTS.
Make sure your design includes everything requested in the "Statement of Work" (SOW)
part of the RFP, and that your proposal makes it clear every point in the RFP SOW was
addressed. In order to clarify the RFP intent, we specify "minimum requirements" for
each proposal section. Also recognize that you are designing a place where your
customers are planning to make their homes and raise their families--your Space
Settlement must be an appealing place to live if you expect to win their approval.
Make sure someone on your team looks through our Internet site at
http://www.arssdc.org; we have included information intended to be useful for you
in preparing your design and proposal. If you have questions or comments about
the Competition or these materials, you are welcome to contact the Competition
organizers at the e-mail addresses, telephone numbers, or address in the letterhead
and signature blocks.
The Competition organizers and judges are engineers who have experience with
proposals like the one you will prepare. We know this is a very challenging task;
remember, your team is aiming to have one of at minimum the fifteen best designs.
What counts in this Competition is not perfection, or prior knowledge, but Thoroughness,
Imagination, and Creativity in responding to the RFP.
Thank you for your interest in this event, and GOOD LUCK!
