This study aims to determine if a blood test called NOHA can predict how patients with triple negative breast cancer will respond to chemotherapy by testing blood samples from patients before, during, and after chemotherapy treatment. The study seeks volunteers who have been diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and scheduled for chemotherapy before surgery to provide five blood samples total over the course of their treatment. Participation does not provide direct benefits but could help advance the use of NOHA testing to monitor triple negative breast cancer.

The study is being done to see if a certain type of blood test (NOHA) is helpful in predicting how a person will respond to certain types of chemotherapy.
Who are we looking for?
The study is looking for any patient diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer who is scheduled to receive chemotherapy before surgery.
What do we need from you?
We will ask you to provide 5 samples of blood at different points: before, during and after your chemotherapy. We will also ask your permission to review your health records for a maximum of 2 years.
Why would you participate?
You will not be paid for participation and there is no cost to you. There will be no direct benefit to you, but your contribution could help investigators test the usefulness of NOHA as a blood test to monitor Triple Negative Breast Cancer.
Who is conducting the study?
Peter Rubin, MD will oversee the study at SMHC.
