standing at the crossroads

This is what the Lord says: Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask which paths are the old, reliable paths. Ask which way leads to blessings. Live that way, and find a resting place for yourselves.
Jeremiah 6:16 (Gods Word)

"The Road Not Taken"

by Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and I was sorry I could not travel both, And as a traveler, long I stood, and looked down one lane as far as I could. Then I took the other, it was just as fair, and perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear. Though as for the passing there had worn them both about the same. I shall be telling this with a sigh, Somewhere ages and ages hence, Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - - I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference!

The Road Less Travelled

Graeme Connors
In a world that grows More confused each day The temptation gets stronger For an easy way To cut that corner Play the lottery Bend the rules a little When no one can see But it gets us nowhere Cause the truth within Says its not the being there but the journey That matters in the end Take the road less travelled Take the long way round Let your life unravel As you cover that ground

The Road Less Traveled

George Straight
There's a road a winding road that never ends Full of curves lessons learned at every bend Goin's rough unlike the straight and narrow It's for those who go against the grain Have no fear dare to dream of a change live to march to the beat of a different drummer And it all might come together And it all might come unraveled On the road less traveled For the road less traveled ain't for the faint of heart For those who choose to play it safe and never stray too far Me I want to live my life and one day leave my mark And it all might come together And it all might come unraveled On the road less traveled

walk humbly with your God
the biggest decision most of us had to make this morning was which dress, shoes or tie to wear and what to have for breakfast Jesus asked us to be there - not be here - the great commission is to go and make disciples His practice may have been to be at the synagogue but His time was always spent with people who needed help - its still the same today

Stewardship and sharing
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death even death on a cross!
