Employee Engagement Study at TVS

This study aimed to examine employee engagement at TVS Sundram Iyengar pvt Ltd in Calicut, India. The objectives were to study engagement drivers like recognition, feedback, and trust, and their impact. A questionnaire was used to collect primary data from a random sample of 40 employees. Findings indicated most employees were disengaged. There were strong correlations between engagement and recognition, supportive feedback, and teamwork. Supportive feedback had the strongest impact on engagement. The study suggested focusing on engagement, training supervisors, implementing rewards and recognition programs, and fostering team relationships to improve engagement.

A Study on Employee Engagement with special reference to TV Sundram Iyengar pvt Ltd, Calicut

Objectives
Primary Objectives 1. To study the employee engagement with special reference to TVS. Secondary Objectives 1. To identify the drivers(recognition ,supportive feedback and Trust) of employee engagement at TVS [Link] study the impact of these drivers on employee engagement.

Research Methodology
Methodology gives the true path to find solution to certain problems. It also refers to the sequence and step to be adopted by the researches in studying problem with the objective in view. Research design Research design is the conceptual study within which research carries out. Method of data collection The data used to the study was mainly primary and collected through structured questionnaire. The study was based on employees and the questionnaire directly given to them and secondary data collected from websites. Research instrument used for data collection For the data collection the researcher used questionnaire.

Sampling Plan Sample Size The Sample size was [Link] sample was randomly selected from the population of 50. Tools used for Analysis The researcher was used the percentage analysis and chi square test. Project Period The Project study was conducted for 21 days.

Findings
The study revealed the following :
1. The observed engagement score at TVS was reported in the range of 16 to 47(theoretical range 12 to 60);with a mean of 26.15 and standard deviation [Link] variation of the score was reported as high. When categorized it was found that 82.5% of the respondents were in the disengaged category, 17.5% of the respondents were in engaged category and no respondents in actively engaged.

[Link] the study it was found out that the relevance of employee engagement with respect to recognition , supportive feedback and partnering in teams are very high. There is strong correlation (r=.682,p<.05)between employee recognition and engagement score. There is strong correlation (r=.739,p<.05)between employee supportive feedback and engagement score There is strong correlation (r=.586,p<.05)between employee partnering in teams and engagement score Based on the strength of the correlation we noted that supportive feedback of supervisor is the most critical factor which needs to be addressed for enhancing engagement.

[Link] training program is an important factor if on enhancing employee engagement. [Link] the analysis it was also found that there is no variation in employee engagement score between department group,educationl qualification group and service length group .

Suggestions
1. It was found that it is important to focus attention on employee engagement as it is a critical factor leading to organizational performance and it is suggested that the company should actively take-up measures in improving employee engagement substantiate. In order to improve employee perception on supervisory support it is recommended to conduct training and awareness program for supervisors and also to install transparent performance appraisal and feedback system in the company. To build upon employee recognition programs activities like performance linked rewards , employee awards, employee empowerment are suggested.

4. To foster cohesive relationship among team members in formal gettogether and group performance appraisals and incentives are recommended. 5. It is also recommended to prepare relevant training plan for the company for enhancing employee engagement.

Conclusion
This project was entitled on the topic Employee Engagement in TVS. Through this the researcher try to evaluate the employee retention, employee satisfaction, commitment of employees, loyalty of employees and the employee participation in the company. The TV Sundram Iyengar & Sons Limited was giving good care for the [Link] the welfare measures taken was appreciable. With this study the employees in TVS are highly engaged. Most of the employees are committed towards their work and loyal to the company. However the engaged employees of the company is an asset for TVS But most of the employees were not happy with the rewards and recognition programs held by TVS. With this study the researcher could understand that the TVS should focus on much better reward programs. As the study was time bounded one, I have done it in the accurate manner within the time limit.
