Problem Why care?

In the current economic

recession and rise of mobile, charities are struggling to stay alive. Heres one reason why:
Many NPOs (and for-profit companies, too) have failed to tap into mobiles potential / influence.

In Nigeria, smartphones help fight polio.

Senior Design Project as stated

in Design Report:

To incentivise volunteering / charitable giving and foster communities, by offering a mobile app that centralises local good causes, offers mini-games and free gift cards.

Proposed Solution

Whats social about it?

Charity is social. By the very nature of its design, Dewey connects users with real-life people. Dewey is as much a human project as it is a mobile

app programming project.

Its not good enough for the app to be just functional. Users need to feel compelled to use the app, as well as to interact with their environment in a positive way.

Project Scope
The purpose of this project is to develop a file retrieval

and management software that processes user feedback to give better search results, as well as mitigates the user burden of keeping mental track of metadata.

Interface offers clear affordances to the user Use context/content to enhance searches Load time for results list should not take more than 4 seconds
