AIM
To introduce the concept of Bladeless Fan.

What is a Fan?

Fan is a machine for producing flow within a fluid typically a gas such as air.

Bladed Fan
A bladed fan consists of a rotating arrangement of blades which acts on the air. Fans are powered by electric motors, but other sources of power may be used.

Disadvantages of Bladed Fans

The blades on conventional fans cause unpleasant buffeting because they chop the air before it hits you. High Noise level Low Efficiency High Power Consumption Safety Concerns

BLADELESS FAN
Bladeless fan doesnt need any blade to make a speedy flow of air. The principle of operation is very simple. This fan can flow air very smoothly without chopping.

PARTS
The upper part of the fan is a ring. The lower part of the fan is cylindrical and has a variable speed control switch on it. Small holes are provided around the cylindrical structure. These work as air inlets and have much importance in the operation of the fan

What is a bladeless fan?

A bladeless fan works like a jet engine, sucking air into a cyclone accelerator that amplifies it 15 to 18 times before blowing it out over an airfoilshaped ramp. As that air is blown out, more is sucked in from behind. With no blades, the air stream is smooth and the contraption is easy to clean. The fan runs on a modest 40-watt motor.

MATERIAL AND PROPERTIES

The material used is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene usually known as ABS. High Melting point High strength , rigidity and toughness. Good flow

Working
It uses the technology of Air Multiplier by which it generates smooth and uninterrupted airflow without unpleasant buffeting. It works by sucking in air at the base, which is then ejected at a speed of 55mph through a tiny slit around the edge of the ring. The air is expelled out over an airfoil-shaped ramp. This creates a high pressure area behind the aerodynamically designed ring. Thus more air is pulled into airstream, resulting in approximately 15 times more the air sucked at base.

Working in 4 Simple Steps

Air is drawn in by an energy-efficient, brushless motor. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture. It passes over Aerodynamically designed ring, which channels its direction. Air is induced behind the Air Multiplier fan and is drawn into the airflow, through a process known as Inducement. Air is Entrained: Air around the machine is also drawn into the airflow, through a process known as entrainment, amplifying it 15 times.

Advandages Over Conventional

Low energy consumption. No blades and are safe. Uses Energy Efficient, higher lifetime brushless motor. Ring can be adjusted to 90 degrees.

More comfortable airflow without buffeting. Easy to clean: no protective cover and leaves to avoid demolition clean.
