Leviticus 23:23-25 The Feast of Trumpets Given!

23 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 24 Speak to the children of Israel, saying: In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. 25 You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.

Rosh HaShana
Rosh HaShana Begins Thursday. Rosh Hashana, also known as the Feast of Trumpets or the Jewish New Year, begins at sundown on Thursday, September 29th. The Biblical holiday is perhaps most well-known for the sounding of the shofar horn, which is done at holiday services around the world. The day is a time of repentance and begins the Days of Awe that culminate with Yom Kippur, or the Day of Atonement. In Israel, it is a national holiday.

Fall Feasts
Feast of TrumpetsThe beginning of the Jewish New Year (Biblical not Fiscal) and symbolizes many things. Commemorates the creation of the Worldspecifically of Man on the 6th day Recognition of God as the King of the Universe! A Call To Repentance! A time when God may decide whether their (the Jewish people) are inscribed in the book of Life.

Fall Feasts
Feast of Trumpets (continued) Symbolizes the end of the evil age and the promise of the coming Messiah! The Jewish children are taught to listen for the sound of the Shofar because it will be blown at the coming of Messiah! (to Christiansthe Return of Christ!) Is believed to be the true birthday of Jesus (according to the zodiac and by scripture calculating the time of Marys gestation in relation to the time of Elizabeths gestation in Feast mentioned) Feast of TabernaclesTells of how God will one day dwell with men! Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement)Christ fulfilled when He presented Himself as the perfect lamb following His resurrection!

Conclusion We, as Christians, can celebrate the Feasts of Israel and understand their true meaning and promises!

The Feast of Trumpets points us to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and His rule forever!!!
