major field is Sui Gas Field which is in Balochistan.

Sui is Pakistan Petroleum Limiteds flagship gas field. As a major production facility, Sui Gas Field (SGF) hosts the countrys largest gas compressor station and a purification plant.
Kandhkot Field
Situated on the right bank of Indus River in upper Sindh, Kandhkot Gas Fields reserves are located in the Habib Rahi Limestone, Sui Upper Limestone and Sui Main Limestone reservoirs
Adhi Field
The only PPL operated field to be located in the Punjab around 70 km south of Islambad, Adhi Field is a joint venture between PPL as operator, OGDCL and POL, with working interest of 39, 50 and 11 percent, respectively.
Mazarani Field
Located 100 km west of Larkana in Sindh, Mazarani Gas Field was discovered in 1959 but lay dormant for almost 30 years owing to low gas demand.
Chachar Field
The Government of Pakistan assigned 75 pecent working interest and operatorship of Chachar Gas Field to PPL in early 2009.
Hala Field
Hala is a joint venture between Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and Mari Petroleum Company Limited, with 65 and 35 percent working interest, respectively. With an area of about 395 square kilometres, the field straddles Sanghar and Matiari districts in Sindh.

PPL is mass field worked first alone and when it become famous
and did well then different companies and organization offer the partnership, so PPL as it was producing alone which was needed financial support to run further, PPL join to accept the partnership with different companies, which are now PPLs partners. And know they share risk and investment and profit as well.
