Carry out site visit, study blind locations, verify access, requirement
of scaffolding, crane, insulation removal and conditions of fasteners
etc
Access the job scope and finalize manpower, equipment and verify
the resource deployment plan.
verify Level III schedule and Level IV schedule
If any discrepancies in the job scope/ duration/ blind list sort it out.
Obtain final scope and signed blind list
Obtain approval for temporary lay down
Access the blind requirement and initiate action to procure
unavailable blinds
Shift all the blind from the blind yard and segregate equipment wise



PRE SHUTDOWN ACTIVITES
Prepare rigging study for critical lifts, prepare method
statements for each and every activity, prepare ITP, HIRA
Compile shutdown package
Initiate action to procure required spares, fasteners, gaskets
etc and ensure availability of all spares before shutdown
Finalize subcontract requirement and engage subcontractors
Ensure availability of tested hoses for draining, purging
and steaming out.
Ensure availability of PICWS, man hole watcher, fire
watcher and certified rigger.


PRE SHUTDOWN ACTIVITES
Ensure availability of all tools and tackles (certified)
Ensure all the lifting tools and tackles are certified and color
coded
Ensure availability of all materials, gaskets, spares
Erect scaffolding in advance wherever required (external)
Carry out tagging of all blind locations and valves (2 tag
system to be followed for valves)
Permits to be originated, reviewed and validated as per the
scope of work.
Remove insulation where ever required
Shift all the required blinds to the location


PRE SHUTDOWN ACTIVITES
Establish site lay down facility
Mobilize all materials to site material container
Shift all required tools to site tools container
Ensure availability of necessary spools/ fitting to connect
hoses
Ensure availability of all necessary test fittings for exchangers
Shift trays for fin fan coolers to location
Upon permission from operation connect hoses for nitrogen
and steam purging
PRE SHUTDOWN ACTIVITES
Mobilize all the required subcontractors at site
Arrange all necessary PPE and consumables
Ensure all the mobilized equipments meet the requirement of
safety norms and approval, basic needs for equipments are
Chalwyn valve, spark arrestor, battery switch, battery cover,
third party certification for hoses, lifting tackles, third party
certification for pressure gauges etc
Ensure availability of sufficient quantity of suitable range of
pressure gauges
Ensure availability of required Qty of drums , pallets for
catalyst handling works
PRE SHUTDOWN ACTIVITES
Shift all the drums with pallets to location
If there is catalyst handling works establish the catalyst
extraction system in place
Ensure availability of SCBA, Breathing apparatus to carry out
blinding etc, refilling facility
Assist with operation for connecting the purging hoses, valve
closing and CD/OD reversal

PRE SHUTDOWN ACTIVITES
Obtain permit as per the scheduled job
Validated permits shall be issued by shift controller
Accepted by the contractor
Accepted by PICWS
Endorsed by asset operator 1 and 2
Tool box talk by supervisor and safety officer regarding job
scope, hazards and control measures.
Blinding as per the blind list and obtain isolation certificate.
Manway open, ventilation and obtain gas test certificate
Obtain confined space entry.
Confined space attendant to be engaged for monitor the entry
and exit timings
SHUTDOWN ACTIVITIES
SHUTDOWN ACTIVITIES

All the bottom nozzles to be covered with metal box to prevent
foreign material entry.
Offer preliminary inspection to QC and get recommendation.
Erect internal scaffolding
Based on QC recommendation and scope, complete all the activates
Offer for final inspection and obtain box-up certificate from QC,
process, maintenance and operation.
Carry out equipment box-up, de-blinding and torquing
Torquing witness by QC and maintenance
Housekeeping


Assist with operation for start up activates
Disconnect all hoses, restore the insulation and remove all
external scaffolding
Shift all containers, tools and equipment from the temporary
lay down to permanent lay down.
After successful commissioning obtain FAC from QC, planning,
operation and maintenance
Summit close out report
