Happy

Holidays
2009
It’s that time of year again…where
I fill you in on all of the adventures
of the past 12 months!

This year however, most of you

have been updated as the
entertainment has taken place.
Now its time to see how well you
were listening 
Which country did I not visit
during 2009?

A.England
B.Canada
C.Grand Cayman
D.Belize
E.Isla Rotan / Honduras
F.Mexico
Answer
F. Mexico….

This summer the girls (Jenny, Amy, Amanda and myself) went on a 7 day cruise to
Grand Cayman, Belize and Isla Rotan. While we were supposed to port in Costa Maya,
Mexico there was some pesky pig virus that kept the boat at sea. That did not keep us
down though…..

In Belize we zip lined through the rainforest. In Isla Rotan we played with dolphins and
in Grand Cayman we swam with the sting rays. Yes I realize I do the stingray shuffle in
Florida, but they are less intimidating when you pay to swim with them.

England – yep went there…just for 48 hours for a NKOTB concert…or two…  ! If you
do not know what NKOTB stands for this may be a painful letter for you to follow…
(Hint: New Kids on the Block).

Canada…for all my travels I have never been north of the border.

I remedied that in November. Eh?!

Who had a surprise birthday party
this year?

A.Me
B.Mom
C.Stephanie
Answer
Trick question! A and B

Mom turned 60 this year (sorry for telling that secret mom) in January. I think we
pulled this one off successfully! We had a great time with family and friends.
Hopefully this made up for my last minute trip to London on her actual birthday…sorry
mom!

While I was helping to plan mom’s party, my family and my friends were planning my
30th party. I was totally shocked…until we pulled into my driveway! But even then I
did not anticipate all the guests including some who traveled from far away (Texas). I
did give everyone a hard time as my normally late nature did not help the “surprise”
part of the evening.

Stephanie – she is still waiting for her party….

with a real birthday cake (i.e. no hot pink flowers)!
This is a two part question:

I. How many states did I visit this year?

A.3
B.7
C.9
D.13

II. Of those states, how many related to NKOTB

concerts?

A.2
B.5
C.9
D.11
Answer
Part I:
D. 13 states were visited this year (see following slide presented
in no specific order. The * indicates my first visit to the state)

Part II:
C. 9 states were for NKOTB. (Who guessed 11? You must think
I’m crazy or something!)
*Mississippi – This trip was to Biloxi, which I like to refer to as Las Vegas of the East.
Some may travel here to see the beautiful hotels and throw dice in the casinos, but not me.
This was the location of concert #7. What happens in Biloxi…stays in Biloxi…just know
it was a GOOD trip!

*California, New Jersey and Indiana – Concert stops #10, #11 and #12. I wish I could tell
you more about these states, but I think I was there for a collective 96 hours!

*Arizona - I guess you are seeing a pattern with my travels and related activities. Unlike
most my “trips” I was in Phoenix for 4 days. We went shopping, relaxed at the spa….and
went to see concert number #13. I am helpless.

Texas – concert #14…Another quick trip. We could not let the end of the tour pass us by.
After so many shows it was only appropriate to go to the “final” show. The girls were back
together again (Mercy, Darci, Amy and me).

time for some sight

New York and Connecticut – Hope you’re sitting down…this was not a NKOTB trip.
After so many travels surrounding NKOTB concerts, I decided it was time for some new
culture….Hamlet and Altar Boyz…Okay the last was is not really culture...more like a play
that spoofs boy bands.

Virginia – If I could pick a second home (okay I know I need to buy a first home, but that
is not the point) it would be near VA. I was in this great state for work…yes I still work
(Ernst and Young Manager)

Illinois – One of my other loves is baseball. This year made my way to Chicago to see the
Cubs at Wrigley Field with Jenny.

Massachusetts – What is a year of NKOTB without a trip to Boston. As you are reading
this I am likely on a flight to Boston to see the band…might as well finish the year the way
I started it!

*Wisconsin and *Iowa – Why you ask…oh you may need pictures to do
this justice….Take notice of the matching jackets…hhhhhmmmm. We
did not buy those at a merchandise stand. Oh no!! We had those custom
made...his and hers…We threw theirs on stage from the front row!
AND the group proceeded to wear their jackets for the show’s
encore...the only time they deviated from the standard concert wardrobe.

Did I do anything this
year besides travel to
NKOTB concerts?

Yes or No
Answer:
Yes
Much time was spent in Tampa with family and friends…especially my favorite little
guy….Brian. This year Brian turned 3. I look forward to hanging out with him as
much as possible.

Sporting events were also very popular

College football took me back to Tallahassee…this time to cheer on the USF Bulls!
I made my annual trips to Daytona for racing season…still waiting for Elliot to win
one.
Baseball was a great pastime. Many Rays games were watched…especially from
behind the bullpen. Who needs home plate seats when you can sit right behind the
pitchers. Might be where I get season tickets…Hip Hip….Go Rays!
Which of the following memorable
events occurred this year and deserve
recognition? (check all that apply).

A.Got a new job

B.Bought a house
C.Presented with an award at work
D.Was photographed/published
Answer:
C and D

Presented with an award at work – YES!...okay…that might be overstating the

accomplishment…I was presented with “Most Addicted to Social Networking”. You
can find me on Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIN and NKOTB.com. That is
where you can read about my adventures more often than my annual letter! If you do
not recognize at least two of these network groups then my mailing address is…wait
do you have internet to receive this email?! 

Was photographed / published – I know it is not on many of your reading lists, but I
was photographed with Amy and Mercy in the NKOTB tour program. Crazy enough,
yes, we are forever on the pages of a band tour book. What is the criteria for a groupie
again?!?!
We are in the tour
program….not sure if
that is an
accomplishment or a
sign of a bigger
problem
Here we are…and here
too!
Questions answered correctly?

0 - 6 - You may now know a little more about me than you

wished! You may also be researching clinical information to
send me to cure my obsessions (or passions as I like to call
them), but most of all I hope you had a good laugh!

Oh what a year!
I am exhausted…

CHEERS to another
great one in 2010! 
Though we have all been busy and time has passed us by,
I hope that during the upcoming holiday season
we can stop and enjoy the people around us as well
as remember those who are no longer with us.

I hope to see all of you this holiday season,

catch up with how everyone is doing
and what exciting things you all are experiencing.

Stay Tuned For Next Year.
