Introduction to Nets for

For seventh grade science students will create a video

dramatically skit that involves their creativity.
Students will then edit their videos using movie maker
and add titles headings and theme music to their
piece.
Students will then have the option of posting their
video on YOUTUBE with parent permission.

3. Gather data, examine patterns, and apply information
for decision-making using digital tools and
resources. (1, 4)
Students will learn the Scientific Method by creating a
spread sheet that allows them to create a pie chart or
graph for their science fair projects. For instances
students will learn excel and create a document that
they can use to test their hypothesis. Students will
document either by day or by test subjects and
document how many trails they tested their
hypothesis. By doing so the end product of students
should be some type of Graph for their science fair
presentation.

4. Participate in a cooperative learning project in an
online learning community. (2)
Students will create a poster online with GoogleDocs.
The poster will be about future space stations that are
on the nine planets. Students will work collaborate
with each other on this document and create a
brochure for future travelers. Students will compete
with each other to try to get travelers to come to their
planet and have a great time on their resort. Students
will incorporate important information about the
planet and how they are able to sustain life on the
planet.
4. Participate in a cooperative learning project in an
online learning community. (2)
6. Employ data-collection technology such as probes,
handheld devices, and geographic mapping systems to
gather, view, analyze, and report results for content-
related problems. (3,4,6)
Students will use a GPS s system hand held device and
enter locations around the school. Students will then
leave things at these locations. Other students will
have to go on a scavengers hunt around the school
trying to locate the objects at these locations. Students
will learn how to use a GPS handheld device in order
to find locations.
6. Employ data-collection technology such as probes,
handheld devices, and geographic mapping systems to
gather, view, analyze, and report results for content-
related problems. (3,4,6)
