2. Project Overview

Project Pain Points/Challenges :

Slow internet

stop forged doc submission, by subcon in remote PAT .


Customer usually take 2/3 days to check Hauwei submitted remote PAT doc. If customer would check
it on real time, rejection rate could be reduced since subcon could rectify the rejection issues instantl
y.

If our PC with SE for individual SP follow up installation properly, issues could have been mitigated du
ring installation and no rectification required further. Also Remote PAT should be conducted during n
ew site on-air.

ISD- acceptance server is very slow to work with. If it get faster, we should get more number of PAT ac
cepted than what we get now.

Both Hauwei and customer signed SOP for installation quality .

Spare materials for urgent customer rectificationsupport.

We define it as PAT completed remotely without site visit by customer.

Huawei team on site checking installation and take


picture;
Huawei team clear alarm and verify basic function ,
keep log for record;
Huawei team generate PAT report(include detail picture
and log) , submit to BLK for verify and approval.

Remote PAT process flow

Remote PAT- Benefit for customer

Benefit

Saving man power and car cost , reduce Opex


Last two months 1157 PAT has been passed by remote PAT under 19 O&M.
Wireless=149 Sites
Microwave=1008HOPS=2016 Sites
Total =2165 Sites
Saving Man-power and Car:
Total Man power = 2*19*30*8 = 9120 hours, Total Car = 2*19*30*8 = 9120 hours
Under Remote PAT process, no specific engineer was assigned for remote PAT only, respective O&M engineer checked report while he fr
ee. One engineer can check 20 sites/links per day.
Total Man Power =58 , Total Car = 0.
Remarkable PAT progress under RAJ,PAB,RNG,THK & BOG O&M:
202 sites/links Remote PAT has been PAT passed
Most of the sites are situated far away from O&M. Onsite PAT more time consuming and less resource utilization. Remote PAT more r
esource utilization and less time consuming.
As there no any CNG GAS station exist at north bangle zone so it was considered very high cost spending for onside PAT.

As per project demand, 2015 year ending PAC target was too high. Due to high PAC target ,1300 site have to be P

AT done by dec15 and PAT Passed 1157 where almost half sites was issue constraint and most of them for inven
tory clearance , and the inventory clearance amount was 1.3 M.

Project Improvement Result

As already Remote PAT introduced very 1st time in MEGA project , it was quite difficult to get output from
our SP in the beginning.

As already I have taken the training on ISD Remote PAT acceptance , implemented how to conduct rectifi
cation & remote PAT by ISD acceptance system and get better output comparing last year achievement .

As a PC I am taking care of specific part of a project and in the process, I need to handle customer as well as sub-con
issues for the project purpose. In the future, I want to handle entirely a small project individually to get to know the
changes happens in different DR which will help me to enhance my project management capability & leadership quality.
