2.2.3 TMS

The Apache TMS is an extremely compact, simple to

understand, operate and maintain, the TMS allows the
ROV greater. The TMS allows the ROV to be used in
worse weather conditions than live boating as the
effect of swell and currents acting on the umbilical are
minimised.
A dedicated camera and lighting system allows the
operator to monitor the status of the ROV and the
tether as it leaves and re-enters the TMS.

3.1 Introduction
Planned maintenance is designed to ensure the
reliability of the system. It is the responsibility of all the
ROV personnel.
The system consists not only of the ROV,but also the
deployment system, generator,Control Van & ancillary
equipment. The failure of any components affects the
operation and safety of the vehicle.
Planed maintenance is cost effective on the long term
and incurs less work than remedial maintenance after
a breakdown.

Training system A6

The technical records content:

The running hours of the system and the components
within the system.
Details of planned maintenance
Breakdown and repairs.
The failure mode and, if know, the reason for failure.
Spares part used, the dates recorded and replace.
Modification that have been made to the system and
the improve drawing.
Manufacturers recommended running hours.
Method to be use for stripping, examining and
rebuiding the component.

Check oil Tellus 32 in the hydraulic motor,

oil tank (dirty, full, water ingress).

Check oil Filter HPU every 6 month.

Check motor Winch (strange sound),

Umbilical damaged

Leakage oil from hydraulic pipe, conector,

cylinder, Valve packs.

Grease all points has rotated.

3.2.2 Maintenance TMS
