Issue and
Challenges
During the 1994
Genocide against the
Tutsi many kids lost their
parents and extended
families. These orphans
often had to assume a
parental role for their
younger brothers and
sisters while still trying
to be kids themselves.
The lack of education and
resources left them
especially vulnerable.
This vulnerability often
results in unwanted
pregnancies, and many
young, single mothers
unable to provide
sufficient childhood care,
including education.
Who We Are
The Kuraneza Early
Childhood
Development (ECD)
project provides
care and basic
education to 140
vulnerable kids of
3-6 years.
The Kuraneza
nursery supports
underprivileged
kids of single
mothers, orphans,
and families living
with HIV/AIDS.

Rwandans used to come together and
share Christmas meal while at the same
time upholding their unity as well as
helping one another. Our campaign
