BACKGROUND OF THE
STUDY

Far Eastern Polytechnic College began


on September 9, 2005 as a non-stock
educational corporation. After complying
satisfactorily with all the policies, rules
and regulations imposed upon it by the
Commission on Higher Education (CHED)
and the Technical Education and Skills
Development Authority (TESDA). FEPC
took off to carry out the mandate
contained in its Article of Incorporation
on June 2006-2007. One of the facilities
included is the library.

Technology Acceptance
Model
The technology acceptance model
was developed by Davis (1989) to
explain computer-usage behavior. It
models how users accept and use
new technology. The model suggest
that when the library and users are
presented with a new technology, a
number of factors include their
decision about how and when they
will use it.

Significance of the Study


As the proponents improve the system, the outcome of this
study will be benefit to;
To The Librarian
This study will be of help on the library staffs in terms of
arranging and monitoring the books in more efficient and
less time consuming.
To The School
This study will enable them to manage and provide a more
reliable means of service to the students by giving them a
more convenient source of information.
To The Students
This study will help the students in terms of searching the
books that will reduce the efforts of the students during the
library transactions and also in locating the desired books.
