Introduction
The concern of this project is to create a
Hall Effect Sensor Based Non Contact
Type Tachometer.
The system mainly consist of Hall Effect
Sensor and Microcontroller unit along
with regulated power supply and LCD
display.
This project basically concerns with Hall
Effect i.e., output voltage changes with
change in magnetic field.

Working
This projects concerns with Hall Effect.
When rotor will rotate, Hall Effect sensor will
detect change in magnetic field due to attached
magnets.
Due to which, it will send signal to microcontroller
unit (in the form of change in voltage).
Microcontroller unit will work on the data to
produce output. This output will be shown on LCD
display.

Microcontroller Arduino ATmega48.
Sensor- Hall effect sensor with inbuilt amplifying
circuit.
Transformer- 12V AC/500mA.
Diodes(4) - 1N4007.
Regulators - LM7805 & LM7812.
Capacitors - 1000F & 47F.
Crystal oscillator- 20mHz / 16mHZ
LCD 16 X 2(JHD162A)

About Sensor

The output of the hall-effect sensor cannot be


directly fed to the microcontroller. The output
must be amplified prior to it .
