    What does SLT for HANA do


    Almost real-time replication of data
    (either SAP or non-SAP) from a
    source database to the target HANA
    database
    Usually whole tables as they exist in
    the source are replicated to HANA
    but SLT does have some options of
    manipulating data as it is transferred

    How is SLT installed


    SLT is an NW ABAP stack with a DMIS
    add-on installed
    The DMIS add-on contains all the
    logic of SLT

    Configurations
    A configuration is defined in SLT
    It is a mapping between a source
    system and a HANA system
    It is identified by a unique Mass
    Transfer ID
    SLT can have multiple configurations
    Defined with LTRC Show example

    New tables are replicated with HANA
    studio
    You can stop replicating tables but
    keep them in HANA or you can stop
    replicating tables and delete them
    from HANA
    You can suspend and resume
    replication both at table level and at
    configuration level
