Extract SUM
1. Logon to the OS of your PI System as QPO adm and extract the SUM tool.

2. Start SUM
Start the Software Update Manager entering the following command:
 for Microsoft Windows:
<DRIVE>:\<update directory>\STARTUP.BAT confighostagent
 For Microsoft Windows and MS SQL Server, enter the following command:
<DRIVE>:\<update directory>\STARTUP.BAT confighostagent jvm6
 for UNIX:
cd /usr/sap/<SID>/SUM
./STARTUP confighostagent <SID>
Note Always call the script with the root user.
STARTUP.BAT confighostagent jvm8

Install or Update SAP Host Agent to the minimum supported version
The SAP Host Agent is a tool for monitoring and controlling SAP instances and non-SAP instances, operating
systems, and databases. As part of an SAP instance, the SAP Host Agent is automatically upgraded with the
SAP kernel. However, it can also be installed and upgraded independently from an SAP instance. Make sure
that at least the relevant SAP Host Agent minimum version is present in your system. Regardless of your
stack type, use at least the following versions: SAP Host Agent 7.20 version 203 (or higher), or SAP Host
Agent 7.21 version 3 (or higher).
We recommend always using the latest version in the SAP Software Download Corner at
http://support.sap.com/swdc. For additional information, such as the deprecation of lower versions, see SAP
Note 2130510.

My host agent version is higher than requirement hence not updated.

3. On the Log On screen, enter the administration credentials.

Choose Log On.

4. On the next screen, choose Manually Prepared directory.

Note – Directory / have to enter in reverse than normal windows

5. As per screen shot require to download CRL and kept inside folder mention below.

6. Choose repeat

It will ask same step which in above step 4.

7. Show Target SPs level confirmation

8. Enter PW of AS JAVA Administrator user

9. As per trailing message maintenance certificate is not valid.
Download and attach to system and repeat step.

10. Choose Next.

11. Extend tablespace as per trailing message.

Post extend click on next.

12. Down time phase begin. (08:58AM)

13. End of downtime 10:37am
