choosing an important person in history of the United States and
describe the following:
Why is this character remembered?
How was his life at different times?
Important events in the persons life.
The name of the magazine will be PEOPLE IN HISTORY.
Journals should be well organized and creative.

The people living in the thirteen
English colonies had to obey the
laws made by the Englands king.
They thought that some of the laws
were unfair and they wanted the
freedom to make their own laws.

STEPS TO FREEDOM
The leader of the colonies decided to form their own
country.
They had a meeting. Then the leaders agreed on the
DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE on July 4th,
1776.
After this, a war called THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION
started. This war was between England soldiers and
people who wanted to be free. It lasted for seven years
and finally the colonies won. The thirteen colonies were
the first thirteen states of the United States of America.
