Grade 12 Physical Activity Practicum Guide

This document outlines the requirements for a physical activity practicum for a Grade 12 health class. Students must complete a minimum of 55 hours of moderate to vigorous physical activity over a semester, in addition to activities targeting other components of health-related fitness. They must keep a physical activity log and portfolio reflecting on their progress. While the practicum requirements would provide about 25 minutes of activity per day, students are advised to aim for Canada's recommended 90 daily minutes, with 30 being vigorous and 60 moderate, to achieve optimal health benefits. The document also provides physical activity recall forms for students to inventory and analyze their current activity levels.
