Next to him was Shammah son of
Agee the Hararite. When the Philistines
banded together at a place where there
was a field full of lentils, Israel's troops

Deuteronomy 18:9-14
   “When you enter the land the

LORD your God is giving you, be very

careful not to imitate the detestable
customs of the nations living
there. 10 For example, never sacrifice
your son or daughter as a burnt
offering. And do not let your people
practice fortune-telling, or use
Deuteronomy 18:9-14 (cont.)
  sorcery, or interpret omens, or
engage in witchcraft, 11 or cast spells,
or function as mediums or psychics,
or call forth the spirits of the
dead. 12 Anyone who does these
things is detestable to the LORD. It is
because the other nations have done
these detestable things that the
Deuteronomy 18:9-14 (cont.)
  LORD your God will drive them out
ahead of you. 13 But you must be
blameless before the LORD your
God. 14 The nations you are about to
displace consult sorcerers and
fortune-tellers, but the LORD your
God forbids you to do such
things.”
Leviticus 20:6-7
   “I will also turn against those

putting their trust in mediums or in
those who consult the spirits of the
dead. I will cut them off from the
community. 7So set yourselves apart
to be holy, for I am the LORD your
God. 
Isaiah 47
The Lord refers to witchcraft, magic,
magical charms, spells, astrology,
and stargazers making predictions
each month, as wickedness.
Levels of Involvement
1. Unwittingly having an object
related to occult practice.
2. Unwisely participating in an
occult practice, (fortune
telling, palm reading, séance,
Ouija board, crystal ball,
astrological chart, casting a
magic spell, using a spirit guide).

3. Choosing to seek spiritual
power to heal, harm, or
control another person,
(witchcraft, spirit guides,
voodoo, and etc.).
4. Becoming a medium, psychic,
fortune teller, wizard, or
witch.

5. Developing a direct
relationship with Satan and
entering into Satanic Ritual
and Worship.
The Occult
Anything that is occult is not
spiritually neutral!
Exposure to any object,
practice, or material that is
occult will open a person to
demonic activity.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I recognize and
confess ________ as the sin of
idolatry and as an act of
wickedness. I am sorry for
opening myself to the demonic
activity associated with _______
and I repent of it. Please forgive

I renounce Satan and every
occult practice. I take back any
spiritual territory I have given
over to the devil and I give it to
You, Lord God.

from any hold which any occult
activity has had on our lives.
I close all access that was
opened to any demonic activity,
by my participation in the occult.

against any member of my
family.
I claim the protection of the
blood of Jesus Christ over the

every member of my family.

I declare that my family and I
belong to the Lord Jesus Christ
and our home is to be a holy
place, unto the Lord.
