DISPLAY BOARDS
A visual teaching aid in form
of a flat surface on which the
information
to
be
communicated can be arranged
in an attractive fashion.
E.g.
Blackboard
Flannel board
Peg board
Interactive
white

BLACK BOARDS
Abrasive writing surface made of
wood , ply , hardboars , cement ,
slate , plastic etc.
And white / colour chalk sticks
used for writing.

Advantage - 1. Easy to used ,


economical.
2. Electricity is not
necessary
for its usage
Disadvantage - 1. Eye to eye contact is
losed while writing.
2. Chalk can be inhaled.

FLANNEL BOARDS
The
rigid
material
(plywood
/
wooden)
covered
with
flannel
cloth, wool or paper.
The items should be
displayed should have
flannel or sand paper
pasted on reverse side.

It

can

PEG BOARD
Peg board having a pattern of
holes into which small pegs can
be fitted , used for playing certain
games or keeping a score or for
enlisting the name list.

INTERACTIVE WHITE
BOARD
Interactive white boards are teaching
and
learning
resource
used
for
displaying
and
interacting
with
content.
The first interactive white boards was
developed by canadian company smart
technologies in 1991.
These are generally used through out
schools and work places.

Interactive white boards can be
used in a variety of different ways
with in the class room as an
ordinary white board , projector
screen .
To used it as a computer
projector screen you will need the
interactive white board as well as
a computer and data projector.
