    LIGHTNING :
    Lightning occur when charge builds up in a
    layer of cloud in the atmosphere.

    Induces an electric field between the earth


    and clouds. This cause molecules in the air to
    become ionised allowing the air to become a
    temporary conductor to discharge the natural
    capacitor.

    POWER OF LIGHTNING :
    A lightning is a flash
    which transfers a very huge
    charge which is 1020
    electrons.

    A lightning is a very
    dense ray of charges which
    need its opposite charge to

    neutralized.

    CAPTURING :

    Capturing can be done by using


    lightning rods.

    This rods placed at higher level surface.

    can be transmitted through
    transmission lines.

    high voltage transmission.
    ADVANTAGES :
    It does not need any separate generating
    stations.

    It does not pollute the nature.

    We can prevent any place from damaging.

    One average lightning can produce about 150


    j of power.
    DISADVANTAGES :
    Not feasible for a primary energy sources.

    We can apply it only in the place where


    frequent lightnings are occurred.

    We should not allow anyone to touch capacitor


    under working condition.

    The power supply cannot be continuous run


    until stored energy completion.
    CONCLUSION :
    As we are getting huge amount of energy
    from the lightning this energy can be used for
    the lightning the world.

    Lighting is one of natures most concentrated


    ways of releasing energy.
