Changing Lives in Baldwin Park

INTRODUCTION
On a single night of January 2016, there were
549,928 people experiencing homelessness in the
United States.

California holds 22% of the nations homeless


population
DESCRIPTION
In the beginning we had originally planned to

go to downtown Los Angeles, and help the
homeless that stay on skid row. 4 Cheese Crackers

It changed b/c we figured we could start with 3 Granola Bars

PERSONAL CONNECTION
My experience with the service learning project, It made me feel better person and how people
was eye opening, because we saw how hungry are all the same, i wanted to help the community
people were for something we can easily grab in and other people in need. - Yovanni Garcia
our own kitchen, we had just handed out the
items and one of them was already eating the I thought it was inspiring to see homeless
food while we were leaving the parking. It helped appreciate the little things we gave them, they
remind me of how blessed i am and taught me to still accepted it and thankful for it, that showed

homeless day were made a
little better.
