ROMAN DAYS

May 2017
 Vinkovci was a big and noteworthy
settlement in the Roman era. It was called
Colonia Aurelia Cibalae.
It is the only city in Croatia where two Roman
emperors, Valens and Valentinian, were
born. The end of May becomes the period of
Roman days, time when you can visit the City
Museum, attend workshops, at which you can
learn how to make ceramics, write on Roman
tablets, try dishes made using old recipes,
take part in games and quizes.
Roman days were held on 26 and 27 May
2017.

bowls, medallions
and tiles with Latin
pronouns.

to buyers.
We will enrich the
offer of products
next year.
Visitors could see Roman
legionnnaires,
a camp showing
life during the
period,
gladiators fights and
lots of other interesting
things.
