Vertical Positioning
Birds Eye View
A top down angle of your subject. Camera positioned directly above the subject.
Worms Eye View
A photo in which the camera is as low to the ground as is possible.
High Angle
A image from a high 45 degree angle or higher. Used to make the subject appear
smaller.
Low Angle
And image from a low 45 degree angle or lower. Used to make the subject appear
larger.
Dutch tilt
Tilting the camera so the edges of the image are out of line with the edges of the
subject or leading lines in the image.
Horizontal Positioning
Front
An image taken from the direct front of a subject.
Back
An image taken from the direct rear of the subject.
Front
An image taken from the front-side. to the front.
Back
An image taken from the rear-side to the back.
Profile
An image from the direct side of a subject.
Creative Components
Rule of Thirds
An image with the subject uncentered, but instead about a third to one side.

Leading lines
An image which contains lines that lead your eyes through the image.

An image with light other than that of a ceiling light, often created by the
photographer.
