a Radiologic Sign In
Spondylolisthesis

by
Dea Oktoviani
The term spondylolisthesis was introduced in 1854, to
refer to the slipping of one vertebra on the other, If the
partes interarticulanis of a vertebra are unequal, the
spinous process tends to deviate toward the shorter of
the two.
RESULT
Of the 177 patients, 165 patients had a negative sign
The sign was present in 11 others who had unequal partes

There were 67 patients with known pathology in the pars

interarticularis,
Of the 61 patients with spondylolisthesis, 57 had a positive
sign.

defects (arrows) are wider and rotation of spinous
process of L5 is more marked.
