MODEL
Technique in Composition Writing
(Chan:1998)
Teaching writing to the pupils is equally
important as teaching the other skills in
listening, and reading .
According to Chan:1999, writing helps pupil
learn language in many ways.
First, writing reinforces the grammatical
structure, idioms, vocabulary that are taught to
the pupils.
Second, when pupils write, they also have the
chance to be adventurous with the language;
they go beyond what they have just learned to
say, and take the risk to put them down on
paper.
Third, when they write, they necessarily become
get very involved with the language.
Their effort to express ideas and the constant
use of the eye, hand, and the brain is a unique
way to reinforce learning.
