There are four options :

1. Write a dialogue between a doctor and a

patient. Start by making an appointment over
the phone. Then, have the patient describe
his/her symptoms and have the doctor
diagnose the problem and suggest treatment.

2. Write a review of a movie that you saw

recently for the newspaper. Give your opinion
about the movie.

3. Role-play an invitation to the movies.
Include plans for after the film.

4. Pretend you are movie critics. Each student

nominates a movie and explains the reason
why that movie should be eligible for the
Oscar nominations. The others should agree
or disagree.
