diagnosis
In patients with OA, radiographic examination of
affected joints is sufficient to provide a diagnostic
feature (Soeroso, 2006). Radiographic features of joints
that support the diagnosis of OA are:
The narrowing of the joint crack is often asymmetrical
(heavier on the load-bearing part such as the knee).
Increased subcondral bone density (sclerosis).
Cysts on bone
Osteophytes on the edge of the joint
Changes in the anatomical structure of the joint.
