Assignment 3

Manifesto
We believe the integration of technology is a beneficial way to support the diverse
learning needs of all students. Technology provides a platform by which all students can
achieve their individual learning goals. By using technology within a classroom you can
create a supportive and independent learning environment. As future educational
assistants we think it is important to be informed and knowledgeable about the latest
technological tools. Technology can assist in enhancing all students academic
performance, there are no limitations to ways that they can learn a concept. Assistive
technology has helped remove barriers that once affected the learning of English
Language Learners and students with exceptionalities. We believe in the
SETT framework, which allows us to determine how assistive technology could benefit a
student by looking at their abilities and needs as a learner. In order to make technology
successful within the classroom, we need to ensure that it is still being used in a manner
that supports social interaction.
