Graphics Tool is Quicksim
 The signal which are to be I/p or O/p
can be selected on a copy of the
schematic available in a window
within Quicksim.
 Enter sequence of Binary values
 Run the Simulator
 Cmp the I/Ps and resulting O/Ps
observed with the expected I/Ps and
O/Ps.
 If they agree, then ckt is validate or
else correct the logic
schematic/design.
Design Manager
 It is helpful for cleaning things up and
if you get into problems related to
your Mentor Graphic files.
 Complex EDA Tools are supported by
specific Databases
 Mentor Graphics employs a database
referred to as the “Falcon
Framework”, it is based on OOPS
concept.
 Some Op’s like move ,del, copy obj’s
can’t be performed by using simple
cmd line/GUI operations on files.
 Instead it is necessary to use a tool
that is specifically designed like
Mentor Graphics tool (Dmgr).
