 Exceptional leaders cultivate the emergence
of a vision- an organisational vision must
have a life of its own.
 Leaders may originate a vision but there is
power in group discovering the vision
 A way to conceive, visualize and concretize
the vision through imagination.
 A mechanism or way to motivate and/or
inspire people to do something new
 Flik felt he
couldn’t make
a difference

But he saw
things
differently
than the rest
of the colony
Why didn’t the
colony
appreciate Flik’s
efforts?

It was new; it
represented
change

sons of former slave owners will be able to sit
down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of

Mississippi, a desert state, sweltering with the
heat of injustice and oppression, will be
transformed into an oasis of freedom and
justice.

I have a dream that my four children will

one day live in a nation where they will
not be judged by the color of their
skin but by the content of their
character.
