WHAT IS COMPUTER AIDED
DRAFTING?

• It is the use of computer systems to


assist in the creation, modification,
analysis, or optimization of a design.
• Computer-aided drafting describes
the process of creating a technical
drawing with the use of computer
software.
AUTOCAD

• It is a commercial product made by


Autodesk, with many versions,
including one called AutoCAD
Electrical.
• AutoCAD is able to maintain precise
dimensional spacing among
components such as walls, beams,
columns, and doors.
