 India is the one of the world's largest producers of textiles and
garments. Abundant availability of raw materials such as cotton, wool,
silk and jute as well as skilled workforce have made the country a
sourcing hub. It is the world's second largest producer of textiles and
garments. The Indian textiles industry accounts for about 24 per cent
of the world's spindle capacity and eight per cent of global rotor
capacity. The potential size of the Indian textiles and apparel industry
is expected to reach US$ 223 billion by 2021, according to a report by
Technopak Advisors.
 The Textile industry in India traditionally, after agriculture, is the only industry that
has generated huge employment for both skilled and unskilled labor in textiles. The
textile industry continues to be the second largest employment generating sector in
India.
 India has overtaken Italy, Germany and Bangladesh to emerge as the world's second
largest textile exporter, as per recent data released by 'UN Comrade'. India's share
in Global Textiles increased by 17.5 per cent in 2013 compared to 2012.

 During the late 17th and 18th century there were large export of the Indian cotton to
the western countries to meet the need of the European industries during industrial
revolution
 Indian Rayon, the VFY unit of Aditya Birla Nuvo, is a major player in the Indian viscose
filament yarn business. The unit enjoys a 41 per cent domestic market share, making it the second
largest producer of viscose filament yarn in India.

 The late Prime Minister Shree Lal Bahadur Shastri laid the foundation stone of Indian rayon
and industries Ltd. it was incorporated on the 26thSeptember, 1956 under the company Act of
1956 and the company was getting the commencement certificate on 13th February 1958.

 The inauguration of the company was done or an American ambassador Mr. H.H.Galbreth
on 13th April 1963.
 Branded 'Ray One', the viscose filament yarn is available in more than 600 shades. The yarn
comes in a wide array of colours, including natural whites. It ranges from the purest tints,
through medium tones to vibrant deep shades in fine to coarse deniers ranging from 75 to 1200.

 With a capacity of 19,800 tonnes per annum (tpa), Indian Rayon is the first in the country to
adopt the most advanced VFY technology with 88 pot spinning machines (PSY) and 17 continuous
spinning machines on parallel yarn.
Aditya Vikram Birla

(November 14, 1943-October 1, 1995)

Aditya Vikram Birla was an Indian industrialist. He dared to dream of setting up a


global business empire at the age of 24. His unexpected death at the age of 52 left his
young son (Kumar Mangalam Birla) in charge of his group of companies and also much
doubt about whether it would survive him.
INTRODUCTION TO TOPIC

 QOL is the general well being of individual and societies, outlining negative and
positive features of life.

 It observes life satisfaction, including everything from physical health, family,


education, employment, wealth, religious beliefs, financial and environment.

 Intangible component of someone’s life.


Ex: satisfaction with life, confidence, self esteem, social status,emotional/ psychological well
being etc.
LITERATURE REVIEW
•To examine the bigger picture of quality of life and the definition already established by previous
research.
•Established a standardize working definition for the purpose of the study.
•Literature reviews mostly relies on primary sources, i.e., research reports which are description of
studies written by researchers.
•Purpose of literature reviews attain a good knowledge of the field of inquiry- facts, etc..
•It gives a short description about problem.
•Commence a long term study of interest.
•Most primary sources are found in published literature.
•We have collected data from different resources like research and methodology (Deepak chawla
and neena sondhi) and last 2 years project reports.
•Researchers has collected secondary data from research proposal, research method, Analytical
method, internet, types of research, data collection methods, etc..

The data has been collected from the Employees and their families. A questionnaire was
prepared and interviewing with employee family personal.

Sampling Method: Convenience Sampling

FINDINGS
•We have found that there is a good Housing facility, Water facility, Electricity facility,
furniture facility, light facility provided by the company.
•There is a scope of improvement in cleanliness and garbage disposal facilities.
•Company provides good facility in pest-control.
•Company is providing good recreational facilities at adityanagar but company should start
club activity near to the staff colony.
•There is a scope of improvement in security service except the adityanagar.
•Company is providing good parking facility but does not meet the current requirement.
•The quality of horticulture at public place is good.
•For the response time toward repair and maintenance, there is difference between
standard norms mentioned by the company and actual working.
SUGGESTIONS

• Civil work should be improved.


•Parking should be spacious
•Sweeper should come on alternate days.
•Proper maintenance of ground should be done.
•Quality and frequency of white wash should be improved.
•Quality of furniture should be improved.
•Horticulture should be improved.
•Tank cleaning should be done in every 2 months.
•Quality of pest control should be improved.
• proper response should be provided in complaints registration process.
LEARNING OUTCOMES

•We have also understand the concept of Quality of life.


•These 6 weeks has played very vital role for me as such summer training is part of MBA program
apart from this we has developed skills which are required for being a successful HR.
•Most important outcome of SIP for we have understood the facts like How to know the current
situation of company in employees and their family mined, how to convince the people with our
different skills because each and every day you are going to meet a new person. I have also know
about the what is the Quality of life at colonies.
•We have also visited the many places like Aditya Nagar, Supervisory Building, Officers Quarters.
•We have also learnt that how to increase our communication skills and other skills.
