 At the beginning of this assignment, we discussed
where we all were originally from and what our
feelings towards Arizona are. As a group, we feel
that Arizona is misrepresented in terms of the
enjoyability of its temperature and wanted to figure
out whether AZ natives or people who moved here
from another state/country appreciated its climate
more.
 This is a representation
of where the
respondents were from.
We had the most
responses from students
form Arizona, followed
by California and
Illinois. Most of the other
states had only one or
two responses.
 This graph shows how
highly people rated
Arizona. You can see
that most people rated
Arizona a 10, with the
second highest score
being 8. This shows
that many people
enjoy living here
 This graph shows a state
by state breakdown
of votes. You can see
that people from Arizona
had mixed feelings
about living here but
most people rated it a
10. Other states had
mixed results. For
example Californians
had mixed results but
the highest number of
ratings was 8. Other
states had results across
a series of ratings.
 This graph show how
living in Arizona
changes the perception
of it. People who lived
here for their whole
lives rated it higher and
more often than people
who had lived her for
less than 5 years.
Interestingly people
who lived here less than
one year rated it higher
than students who had
lived here for 2-5 years.
 From the results we received
we can conclude that in-state
students like living in Arizona
more than out-of-state students
do. We were surprised to learn
this information because we
had initially thought we would
find that out-of-state students
better enjoy living in Arizona
since they made the decision
to come live here.
