Brief summary
• The main heroine is the young dhampyr Rosemarie, "Rose" Hathaway, who is trying
to protect her friend, the Princess Vasilisa, "Lissa" Dragomir.Lissa is the last living
member of the royal Dragomir‘s family with whom she has a magical bond. Dhampyr
is a half man and half a vampire who has the task of protecting the worthy Moroi who
control one of the four elements (fire, water, rage, earth), the dead Strigoj vampires.
For this purpose, the Academy of St. Vladimir has been built, where all these skills
acquire and in which the moroi are improving in their magic. Rose and Lissa were
forced to flee from this school because there was the greatest danger. But after two
years of successful hiding, the Guardians of the St. Vladimir Academy were found
and taken back. Lissy's only living relative is Viktor Dashkov, who calls her the
director of the academy, so their punishment is relieved. Rose has to spend her free
time training to catch up on everything she missed. Her teacher is Dimitrij Belikov,
one of the guards who found them. After a while, Rose and Dimitrij begin to
converge, but they both resist their feelings. Not only is Dimitrij her teacher, but she
is also seven years older and, above all, she and Rose must become Lissa's guard
and must concentrate fully on the protection of the princess. Lissa, as the only one,
can control the fifth element - ether. With him he can heal the sick and return life.
That's what Viktor Dashkov will find out, who will see his chance to cure the illness
that is plaguing him. As soon as Rose and Dimitrij are not careful, she takes the
princess into the hut in the mountains where she forces her to cure him. Fortunately,
Rose and Dimitrij will quickly notice and go to save her. From the beginning they
could not control the bond, but at this point he can do it perfectly. As a result, Rose
and Dimitrij Lisa rescue them and return to the academy where Viktor passes justice.
