Decorating Kids’ Room
 Kids generally want their room to be funny, exciting and full of
colours.
 You child’s room should be decorated and arranged in a way that
reflects his/her taste and personality.
 A great way to teach your kids recycling and have fun is to collect
old cards, pictures of things your child likes from magazines,
photos of family, friends etc and artwork that they have created.
 The ideas for decorating the room also vary depending on whether
the child is a guy or a girl.
 Consider their ideas.
 Decorate rooms on certain theme

Childhood Influence
 Ever since he was a boy, Sim Van der Ryn has marvelled at and
respected nature. The patterns in nature, the relationships, the
beauty.
 His own definition of ecological design is "the art and science of
designing an appropriate fit between the human environment and
the natural world."
 The Ecological Design Institute (EDI) was founded by Van der Ryn
in 1994 and is essentially an outgrowth of the Farallones Institute
 On the university level, there is the Ecological Design Education
Network (EDEN), a three- to 12-month paid internship program
that offers design students the opportunity to learn about ecological
design on the job.
