 In making health policy, resipiens of health care
services should be included.
 The nurse : aprovider, the client : cunsumer
 The environment affects : health population,
groups, families & individuals.
 Prevention of illness is essential to promote
health.
BELIEFS ABOUT CHN
 He client is the only constans member of
the health team.
 Individuals within a community are
untimately responsible.

CHN is a synthesis of nursing and


public health prantice applied to
promoting and preserving the health
of population. (ANA,1980).
 The practice is general and comprehensive
 Is not limited, age group or dx, and is
continuing, not episodic.
 The dominan responsibility : population
 Nursing directed : individuals, families, or
groups contributies to the health of total
population.
