that leads to more jobs and wealth. This research was made on 13
countries that account for over 70 percent of the global gross
domestic product (GDP).

Today, the Philippines has the most improved internet speed in
Asia. According to the Ookla Speed test Global Index dated April
2018 for fixed broadband, from 3.5Mbps in 2014, the country’s
internet speed improved 403 percent to 17.62 Mbps and
download average speed of 14.55 Mbps but we're still slower
than the other countries.
In January 2018, Philippine now has 67 milllion internet users or
almost 63% 0f the population is internet users. In 2017 the
Philippine average connection per user is around 17.62Mbps
compared to Korea’s 28.6Mbps, Japan’s 20.2Mbps, Hongkong’s
21.7Mbps, and Thailand’s 16mbps, Singapore’s 20.3Mbps and the
global average of 7.2Mbps.
Companies have different services and prices here in
the Philippines like PLDT 50Mbps/₱2899, Globe
15Mbps/₱1599 capped at 150GB, Sky Cable
16Mbps/₱1999 and here in Mariveles the Air internet
offers 50Mbps for ₱2,500.
