JOB DESCRIPTION:
 Track Environmental Compliance
from Joint-Development
Manufacturers (JDMs).
 Ensure that compliance issues do
not negatively affect product launch
dates.
 Assist in resolving manufacturing
problems related to regulatory
compliance issues.

SKILLS TO HAVE:
 Knowledge of environmental compliance like RoHS, REACH and Prop 65
 Knowledge of chemical substances in electronic parts
 Excellent Microsoft skills – Word, Excel, Visio, Access, SQL Servers.
 Exposure to writing programs.
 Worked with XML documents
 MY ASSIGNMENTS:
 Review Environmental Compliance Documents (ECDs)
 Upload Full Material Documents (FMDs)
 Maintain the Bose and Manufacturer part database
 Monthly Risk Assessment
 Yellow Belt Lean Six Sigma project

PLACE IN BOSE:
Every product that Bose creates needs to comply with environmental regulations.
1. The engineers design the product and find manufacturers
2. The manufacturers create the parts and get samples to test for substances
3. I ensure that the parts used to create the product do not go over specified limits and I
maintain the database that contain the compliance data.
