1. What is the relationship among governments,
institute, organization, and companies in developing
legal code to fight piracy?
Ans- Now a days software piracy has became a large
problem for the world. For defending this problem
people believe that collective political arrangements and
legal actions by companies, associations, governments,
and institutions would lead to a decline in global
software piracy. However, coordinated anti-piracy
initiatives such as high-profile legal proceedings against
companies using illegal software and the criminalization
of software piracy have proven to be largely ineffective.
These all efforts have not been able to stop software
piracy.
2.Should software companies, industry association,
home governments or transitional institutions take the
lead in dealing with the governments of countries with
high piracy rate? why?
Ans-yes they should take the lead in dealing with the
governments of countries with high piracy rate. They
can’t stop dealing with high piracy countries because
there are many countries where piracy is high and
every organization want to expand their business so
they can’t stop dealing with that countries instead of
that they should work on stop piracy and other hand if
they have good relationship with the government
of other countries then they make their arguments
most persuasively.
3. Can software industry expect to control software
piracy without relying on governments? Why would
software industry dislike grater governments
regulation?
Ans-It could not be possible to control software
piracy without relying on governments because
internet piracy and online auction piracy and there
are more factor which make software piracy and
software company can’t be make any legislation to
stop piracy only government can make possible to
some extent and protect IPRs.
Example -2005 BSA report showed that piracy rate
had decrease in some countries like Russia, India,
4.How do you think consumers in high-theft countries
justify software piracy? Similarly, what idea or
condition lead consumer in low-theft countries to
respect IPRs.
Ans-Every country affected by software piracy
some countries has more and some has low like
Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, China, Pakistan,
Russia there is high piracy. There is no any way to
stop fully piracy only if the government make
legislation for this as united state made then it could
be possible to decrease the level of piracy globally.
