5.1 Identify social policy at the local,
state, and federal level that impacts
well-being, service delivery, and
access to social services.
 After Hurricane Florence, we helped a few people that were on the
spectrum, with contacts and sources to help get them back on their feet.
 Abide by HIPPA regulations.
5.2 Assess how social welfare and
economic policies impact the
delivery of and access to social
services.
 Organizations that help people going through rough times are more
successful at impacting their clients when they coordinate with
eachother and exchange knowledge about sources.
 After Hurricane Florence, our office worked with a couple of social
workers to help some homeless clients get services to start over.
5.3 Apply critical thinking to analyze,
formulate, and advocate for policies
that advance human rights and social,
economic, and environmental justice.
 The current policies that are in place at the Autism Society of North
Carolina are helpful with getting clients services.
 There are always more people out there with needs for services.
