Flow, Head & Power consumption of a centrifugal pump vary with its Speed.
Flow varies in direct proportion to Speed. Head varies in square proportion
while Power varies in cubic proportion.
If N = Speed, Q = Flow, H = Head, kW = Power, affinity laws are as follows -

Effect of Speed Variation on Flow & Head
Motor speed may vary due to input frequency variation. Speed variation will
change the Q-H characteristic of the pump as shown. Flow / discharge pressure
will vary as per the curve at operating speed.
