Need for A Cash Accounting System

Need For a Cash Accounting System

• As the company is growing we felt the need for a cash accounting system.
• Y! cash accounting posting and reconciliation processes were dependent on manual
inputs into spreadsheets – so, making approval, audit and quality assurance
processes became cumbersome and was prone to potential error
• Bank data feeds and Oracle G/L are not integrated
• Reporting, timing and process transparency are key challenges
• Also we wanted to monitor exposures, trading, reporting and settlement of contracts, track
accounting and settlement of short term investments, inter company loans and cash pools.
• Therefore it became very important for us to implement cash management and treasury.

Oracle Treasury - Benefits

Key Benefits/Expected Key Benefits

• We are fairly new customers for this module. Have started using the
functionalities for tracking investments, creating accounting and accruals for
interest.

•With the help of Treasury, we have done away with the usage of spreadsheets
for all the deals and there is more visibility of cash positioning.

•In our project road map for the current year, we are looking at building
payment interface to have the module initiate priority wires, track inter
company loan balances, leverage payment interface to allow Oracle to initiate
settlement of appropriate inter company balances.
