 Vibration Project
• Challenge:
– Working in a team of 5 members, each
team are required to develop and
demonstrate a simple Dynamic Vibration
Absorber (DVA) system that works.
 Rules
• The DVA system must be made mostly out of recycled
parts.
• Any type of DVA system is acceptable.
• The use of vibration motor is allowed.
• You can use any material that is available to you.

• Simplicity
• Cost
• Originality
• Functionality
 Report
• At the end of the project term, each team must submit a 10
pages report along with the working DVA model.
• Submission date is 30th April 2015.

• Report content
– Introduction (1 page)
– Theory (2 pages)
– Analysis (based on your system parameters) (2 pages)
– Results (experiment/demo) (2 pages)
– Discussion (2 pages)
– Conclusion (0.5 page)
– References (0.5 page)
 Important
• Please make sure you are a member of a
group.
• Any students who failed to join or form a team
before the end of 3rd week, will be penalized.
• Each group must submit its member list on
Monday (4th week).
