Profile
With over 56 million satisfied customers and largest network of more than 5000 branch offices, PNB has
continued to retain its leadership position among the nationalized banks. The bank enjoys strong
fundamentals, large franchise value and good brand image. Besides being ranked as one of India's top
service brands, PNB has remained fully committed to its guiding principles of sound and prudent
banking. Apart from offering banking products, the bank has also entered the credit card & debit card
business; bullion business; life and non-life insurance business; Gold coins & asset management
business, etc.

Since its humble beginning in 1895 with the distinction of being the first Indian bank to have been started
with Indian capital, PNB has achieved significant growth in business which at the end of March 2010
amounted to Rs 4.36 lakh crore as compared to Rs 3,64,463 crore at the end of March 2009. Today, with
total assets of Rs 2,96,633 crore, PNB is ranked as the 3rd largest bank in the country (after SBI and
ICICI Bank). During the FY 2009-10, the bank achieved a net profit of Rs 3,905 crore, maintaining its
number ONE position amongst nationalized banks.

,responses and preferences for all those schemes
 To access the degree of satisfaction of the
consumers

Description of Experience
 Uneducated customer will not able to fill forms
properly
 They have to interact with different type of
people young age, old age, educated,
uneducated
 They have to check the work of all the juniors
subordinates under them I under the AGM of
PNB retail banking division

 RTI complaints answers and giving policies and
guidelines to the PNB branches regarding changes
in the policies of loan schemes
 Policy are made in the retail division then sent to
PNB hub for approval through hub & then final
decision is taken
RECOMENDATIONS
 The bank should use easy procedure for the
sanction of loan to the customer
 PNB should ask for their customer feedback to
know whether consumers are satisfied or
dissatisfied
 PNB should gave more emphasis on customer
relationship management
 Bank can post a list of services that they can render
to the customer inside the bank premises

 PNB should start “teen marketing” concept to lead
in education loan
 The bank should provide a combined booklet of
the product range in oder to upgrade the
knowledge of future taking of loans
Conclusion
 32% of the customer have taken loan from SBI
and even 24 % has taken from PNB
 According to the survey customer demand less
documentation and low interest rate are most
important before taking loan
 According to the survey respondent thinks that
PNB requires too many documents so it’s lagging
in particular area
