Types Financial Reporting

Financial Report
• It is a set of documents of financial activities of a business, person or
other entity by Government agencies at the end of an accounting
period. Financial report generally containt a summury of accounting
data for that period, with bacground notes , forms and other
information.
• There are four types of financial reporting :-
1. Balance Sheet
2. Incone sheet
3. Cash flow satement
4. Satement of retain earing
1. Balance sheet
• A balance sheet shows the assets, liabilities and shareholders equity
at a specific movement.
• the balace sheet is balanced on following equetion-
ASSETS = LIABILITIES + OWERS EQUITY
• Balance sheet is to help the organisation to calculate the all there
assts liability and the assets of the comapny.
2.Income statement
• An income statement show how much the company made in a
particualr time period such as last month, last querter or last year.
• this statement also substracts expences such as depreciation and any
item that were return.
• for the income statement companies made the profit and loss
account.
3. Cash flow statement
• repot on a company cash flow activites, chiefly its operation, investing
and financing activites.
• the cash flow statement revels all resources and uses of company
money during a accounting period.
4. Statement of retaining earning
• the statment of retaining earning explains the changes in retain
earing from income and loss from any devidends over a specific
period.
• this means that statement of retaining earning report the change in
retained from being to end of a time period usuaaly a year.
