CAUSES OF DENTAL LOSS

• CAUSES OF DENTAL LOSS

• As we have commented previously,
eledentulismo refers to that situation in which
the great majority or totality of teeth are
separated, mainly due to pathologies such as
dental caries.

• However, it should also be noted that

periodontal diseases, such as periodontitis,
which occurs with the loss of dental bone
support, is probably another of the main
causes of tooth loss.

A patient is considered to
be edentulous or edentate
when he has lost all his
teeth.
Total toothless requires
total myofunctional
complete total prostheses.
