that excellence school is
possessing.
2. Some of the character of
excellence school.
Mission of excellence school

The mission of excellence school is to


support academic achievement and
success of student by linking
stakeholder through community,
parental involvement, meaningful
communication and monetary
investment.
Goal of excellence school
1. Increase parental involvement.
2. Increase community involvement.
3. Develop lasting relationship with
benefactors.
4. Increase the unity of faculty, staff
and student.
5. Increase department effectiveness
through communication,
cooperation and respect.
Characteristic of excellence school
1. High standards and expectations for all students
Teachers and staff believe that all students
can learn and meet high standards. Students
are offered with an ambitious and precise
course of study.

2. Effective school leadership


Effective instructional and administrative leadership is
required to implement change processes. They nurture an
instructional program and school culture conducive to
learning and professional growth. Effective leaders have
different styles and roles teachers and other staff, including
those in the district office, often have a leadership role.
3. High levels of collaboration and communication
There is strong teamwork among teachers across
all grades and with other staff. Everybody is involved
and connected to each other, including parents and
members of the community, to identify problems
and work on solutions.

4. Curriculum, instruction and assessments aligned


with state standards
The planned and actual curricula are aligned with the
essential academic learning requirements (EALRs).
Research-based teaching strategies and materials are
used. Staff understands the role of classroom and state
assessments, what the assessments measure, and how
student work is evaluated.
5. Frequent monitoring of learning and teaching

A steady cycle of different assessments identifies students who need


help. More support and instructional time are provided, either during
the school day or outside normal school hours, to students who need
more help. Teaching is adjusted based on frequent monitoring of
student progress and needs.

6. Supportive learning environment

The school has a safe, civil, healthy and intellectually stimulating


learning environment. Students feel respected and connected with the
staff and are engaged in learning. Instruction is personalized and small
learning environments increase student contact with teachers.
7. High level of family and community involvement

There is a sense that all have a responsibility to


educate students, not just teachers and staff in
schools. Families, as well as businesses, social
service agencies, and community
colleges/universities, all play a vital role in this
effort.
THE SCHOOL CODE OF CONDUCT

STUDENTS WILL BE EXPECTED

1. To behave in a polite, considerate and


respective manner towards others,

2. To behave in a way that does not endanger


others, observing the school health and safety.

3. To be punctual for all classes/school


activities.

4. To comply with school requirements in


terms of wearing uniforms, submission of
coursework, homework, etc to meet deadlines
and required standards.
5. To behave in an appropriate manner within class rooms,
libraries, learning centers, laboratories. This includes no
eating/ drinking in learning environments. Also to abide by
classrooms rules and regulations and sound classroom
practices.

6. To refrain from using foul and abusive language to others

7. Not to litter on school premises

8. To switch off power while away from classes, learning


centers,
libraries, etc unless specific permission has been granted
and
obtained.

9. To encourage students to speak more in English and


Dzongkha on the school premises.
